This is almost a ritual for me. Sunday, around 5 p.m., Pianos (158 Ludlow St). There is no Pianos without a burger. Although this is place where you can listen to live music and dance. They have also food. I forgot to mention about happy hours, since 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. (only thinking about this makes me feel happy) At Pianos I start with frozen margarita from magic machine as my friend named it. After one hour, if I can stand that long, I order my precious, my big, juicy burger... with fries, which are also amazing. Waiting for an order is like eternity. The smell of it makes you feel even more hungry, if you were not hungry before, you will be. I order another frozen margarita to kill some time and because it is simply delicious. Finally my burger is here. Right now I feel like a kid who get a new toy. I am trying to be calm, do not behave like a beast but my instinct is telling me: do it, put your snappers into meat, feel its juiciness, do it. So what can I do? I eat it, not as a beast but still rapidly. On the half way I have a short break, to eat some fries of course and drink margarita. And again my mouth is in heaven. I wish it could last forever but my burger is gone. I have only frozen margarita and a thought that I am gonna do it next Sunday. Next week I will have a little piece of heaven again. Despite the fact that I smell like fried oil, burger, panini or who knows what else, I am just happy, full and happy. This joyful last until late evening or even early Monday morning. Than reality comes back. I have to wait 6 days. six long days. Well, it is worth it, worth it to wait as long as I have to.
It is Friday, so two more days, but I can not wait more. I will do something bad. I am gonna eat a burger from other place, not as good as Pianos, but still good. Yes, I will betray my precious one but he will forgive me because at Sunday I am gonna meet with him, and eat him. I will even add some extra cheese. Okay, time to go, wild beast wants to eat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SIX SECRETS HOW TO....act like a New Yorker.
1) DARE
Wear flip-flops as soon as the temperature is over 39°F...rain or shine.
2) COOK
Use a tremendous quantity of garlic while you attempting to cook Italian.
3) DON'T MAKE ROOM
When getting into a subway train, stick to the space close to the door...even if the train is half empty.
4) DO NOT TRAVEL A LOT.
Did You know that a lot of New Yorkers don't have passports?
"Why should I have one?'a guy from Jersey may say' the US are so vast that, by the time You'd see them all, You'll be too old to travel..."
5) LIKE LIKE LIKE
Enrich your speech with an incessant, dumb use of "like". For example "Like, I was like 'what?'like I knew..."
6) FINGER IT
Learn "finger language". You should raise your middle finger at anyone who acts differently than you.

Smokin'
So i overslept again and missed the lessons today. Whatever, i will go smoke nargile :) They call it "hookah" here. I dont know who came up with this name but i refuse to call it that!
I found this nice neighborhood in Astoria/Steinway Str. with lots of mediterrinian cuisine restaurants and nargile. This "El Karnak" place have nice dishes and very good nargile (still not as good as in Istanbul). Employees kinda pissing me of though. They have this indifferent attitude, punks..
On second thought, dont come here at all. I will find a better place for god's sake..

Hi Class,
I just wanted to post some podcasts that I love listening to when I'm on the subway, walking around the city, or doing chores around my apartment. They should really help you with your listening comprehension and pronunciation. For those of you who are leaving the U.S. some time soon, they'd be great to help you keep up your English proficiency in your home countries.
Hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Let me know if you need help downloading them!

Recommendation in Brooklyn
Yesterday I visited a Thai restaurant in Williamsburg the place have an amazing oriental atmosphere, the food is delicious and the prices are reasonable.
I ordered a Grilled Lemongrass Chicken, the sauce's incredible good sweet and spicy, the especial of the place is the sea food but I'm really bad eaten that kind of food sorry, they also have a DJ playing music in live and the service was good, so in my opinion is a nice place to eat a good dinner with friends and enjoy of a great Thai food.
I hope that this post would be useful for somebody and I add some pictures, see you in class.
